SUMMER CAMPS 2010
Key of Blue Music is teaming up with La Jolla Art Studio and Tap Fever Dance Studio, to bring you the most sensational summer camp experience available in Bird Rock (La Jolla)! SUMMER ART WORKSHOPS
If you're looking for a summer camp that is art-only, enroll in one of our half-day workshops that focuses on art fundamentals. Workshops are for ages 5-12, and will include a wide variety of artistic styles and techniques. Students will draw, paint, sculpt, create collages and mixed media projects, and work on individualized projects depending on what their goals are.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our goal at the La Jolla Art Studio is to provide a foundation in the fundamentals of art (familiarity with basic techniques, media, styles, and subject matter), while fostering a sense of creativity and personal expression in students. For children’s and teens classes, subjects such as still life, portraiture, figure sketching, and perspective studies work best in group projects. More often, students pursue individual projects which they can choose, or which instructors may suggest. Decision making is an intrinsic part of the creative process, and students are provided with several options to choose from at each step along the way. Through this method of exercising individual choice while respecting procedural guidelines, a student will develop a unique and personal sense of artistic expression. To afford ample time for individuated attention, classes are limited to eight students. Private lessons for adults or teens are designed to fulfill each student’s individual goals.
